Recently they have begun to break into new markets by programming these machines to succeed to new applications. They are searching for an Applications Software Engineer to join their Software Engineering Team.
You will require relevant CNC machinery industry experience in software development, an excellent mathematical aptitude and be mechanically minded, with a flair for computer
We need an engineer that can design applications software for machine control and automation equipment to improve cost and ease of manufacturing and reliability.
You will be responsible for delivering projects on time and within budget, preparing functional requirements, preparing design documents, ensuring correctness, completeness and reusability of software layers as well as Identifying and proposing opportunities for enhancements. You will perform design calculations as required by the product development project, contribute to the development of tools and processes, and have the ability to contribute, mentor and work in a team environment. The successful candidate must have mathematical understanding of Algebra, Calculus, 3D Geometry, Numeric Analysis and Kinematics.
You will also have the following:
- Engineering degree in software, computer science, mechatronics, robotics, or mathematics.
- The ability to program in Java and C/C++, with experience in using SWING.
- Proven ability to learn new computing languages.
- Experience in source control practices.
- Design experience in special purpose machine environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
